Arriving from Royal Excel Mouscron in the summer for just over £1.3m, Selim Amallah has been one of the main protagonists at Standard Liège this season, scoring seven goals and picking up five assists in 25 league appearances.

His stock has quickly risen off the back of this, and while the Jupiler Pro League side might not want to sell him just yet, they might not have a choice as they need to balance their accounts.

That’s where Mogi Bayat comes in, and there’s hope the agent could use his contacts to get them a tidy sum from West Ham for the Morocco international.

Sport/Foot are the ones pushing the story on Wednesday in their magazine, claiming the attacking midfielder could ‘profit from Bayat’s entourage’ to land at the London Stadium.

Furthermore, he could do so for an ‘eight figure sum’ that would be ‘welcome in the Liège accounts’ in the summer.

That’s all the information they have, and it’s interesting to see West Ham dipping their toes in the Belgian market, as they haven’t really been a prominent force there in recent years.

However, if the Hammers are planning on using Mogi Bayat going forward for their recruitment, then their fans should brace themselves for an influx of players from clubs like Standard Liège in the near future.
