Former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz is not keen on a move to Leeds United as Juventus look to sell the Brazilian in this transfer window.

Leeds United interest in the midfielder has been reported repeatedly, as they attempt to shape their squad for the upcoming Premier League season.

Douglas Luiz has now been made aware Juventus will be looking to sell him this summer. If he’d had hopes the break could bring a change of fortunes then he’s been put clear on that.

He had fitness concerns throughout last season due to muscle fatigue and a hamstring injury later on, but more than that he wasn’t rated enough at club level and was widely mocked in the Italian media.

At times his treatment felt unfair, with the negative judgements coming too quickly, especially when the level he’d displayed in the Premier League is considered.

Tuttosport report that despite Leeds United showing the most interest, the player isn’t so keen on that destination. That’s no big surprise, given that during the winter market it was reported Douglas Luiz wouldn’t be considering clubs such as Nottingham Forest and instead had his attention focused more towards the top of the Premier League.

That stance may change if the 27-year-old is short of options in a few weeks.
