Italian midfielder Andrea Lazzari could still be a possibility for Leeds United after recently being released by Bari. The 31-year-old only joined the Serie B side in the last transfer window, but is still without a club.
Lazzari is currently looking for a new club after his time at Bari didn’t work out. The central midfielder joined the Serie B side from Carpi in January, but never made an appearance for the club. His chances were also limited at Capri following their promotion to Serie A, starting just 3 league games for the club in the first half of last season.
Lazzari played under Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino during his 3 seasons with Cagliari, and last month hinted he would welcome a re-union with his former boss. At he time Lazzari said he hadn’t yet heard from Cellino, but welcome a move abroad.
Whilst under Cellino at Cagliari the player made nearly 100 appearances before getting his big move to Fiorentina. The midfielder has also represented Italy U21s on 9 occasions.
