However, his contract runs out at the end of the season, and that makes him an attractive option for a number of clubs, including Liverpool, who really need some new personnel in the centre of the pitch, as revealed by French journalist Ignazio Genuardi.
Jürgen Klopp has already given up on the dream of signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, which has led the Anfield side to look elsewhere.
Ryan Gravenberch appears to be the favourite to come in, with Liverpool already putting in some serious groundwork, but there’s also the Rabiot option, who would be costly wage wise but would not require a transfer fee.
Genuardi states the France international ‘can count on the interest’ from the Reds, as he is ‘on the shortlist’ of Klopp, who wants ‘reinforcements’ at the heart of his squad.
