Real Sociedad forward Jonathas has been linked with a move away from the club, with FC Porto reportedly interested in his services.
The 27-year-old signed for Sociedad at the start of the last season, and reports in Spain suggest there is also interest from the Premier League.
According to Spanish website Diario Vasco, Middlesbrough also showed interest in the player, but the Brazilian is closer to Porto.
Jonathas, however, has said he knows nothing about reports linking him with a move to another club, but insists he wants a solution that’s suitable for all parties involved.
“I know nothing, nobody has told me about it or another option. I repeat, what I want is something that will satisfy all parties. Meanwhile I’m still at Real Sociedad, where I would also like to succeed.”
The player still has another four years left on his contract, and has Mino Raiola as his agent.
Middlesbrough this week have, reportedly, agreed a deal for Victor Valdes, and also been linked with other players including Robin van Persie and Alvaro Negredo.
Welcome back to the big time Boro.
