Fabio da Silva’s links with Sporting keep coming and going. The player now seems to be back on the Lisbon club’s agenda, at least according to today’s O Jogo.

We must recall that yesterday, A Bola said the transfer had been practically ruled out.

First because the Lions were close on landing Stefan Ristovski, and also because Middlesbrough’s asking price would be too much.

Now O Jogo report the situation may have changed, already.

They have a story saying Sporting’s chase for a right-back is back to square one, and mention Middlesbrough’s Fabio as one of the possibilities once again.

There’s no details on how the business with Middlesbrough would be done, so all we know for now is from previous news. Some outlets say he would be cheap, and others like A Bola say the English side are demanding real money, which would make more sense.

The word in Portugal is that Fabio doesn’t want to play in the Championship, and so is looking to leave Middlesbrough.

Last month, he was also offered to Brazilian clubs Cruzeiro and Palmeiras.
