There’s been several suggestions in the Portuguese media this window that Miguel Pinho, Bruno Fernandes’ agent, may be a little out of his depth.
Couple that with Sporting’s president Frederico Varandas not being the most experienced, and it gives some idea of why the situation is as it is.
Bruno scored 32 goals and made 18 assists last season, it was a campaign which should have top clubs queuing around the block. Pinho and Varandas have failed to build a deal for the midfielder, and Jorge Mendes was last week brought in to try and help.
It’s taking place at Sporting’s training centre, and the plan is to ‘unblock’ the potential transfer to Tottenham. This is being reported by O Jogo, who report Bruno has an agreement with Spurs, as long as they can first agree with the Lisbon club.
Record also cover the meeting, although they don’t specifically say it’s about Tottenham.
