Emiliano Buendia is having his medical at Bayer Leverkusen today ahead of a loan move from Aston Villa.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reports that that Argentine will undergo medical tests today ahead of the loan move.
He states that Bayer Leverkusen have already reached a full agreement with Aston Villa over a loan deal until the end of the season. Leverkusen will also have an option to buy the 28-year-old, but for what price remains unclear.
He will first need to pass medical tests with the German side before completing the temporary move to the Bundesliga.
Leverkusen will, presumably, want to put the Argentine through his paces given he returned from a cruciate ligament tear in July last year.
That saw him spend 328 days on the treatment table and miss 56 games for Aston Villa and that will surely be the focus of their investigations before signing off on his loan deal, especially as he’s only managed 464 minutes so far this season.
Either way, that medical is booked in today and if all goes well, his temporary exit from Aston Villa could be sealed post haste.
