Little by little, the Italian media is including Tottenham Hotspur in the battle for Denzel Dumfries.
Back on Friday, as newspaper Tuttosport wrote about the fullback’s situation at Inter Milan, they pointed out that Chelsea must ‘watch out’ for the competition from Spurs.
It turns out that Tottenham’s interest is today highlighted by Corriere Dello Sport, who feature a story about Dumfries’ price ‘skyrocketing’ after the World Cup.
The first mention of Spurs is them saying that Inter Milan could replace the Dutchman with Emerson Royal. It’s said the Brazilian is ‘not particularly loved’ by Antonio Conte, and is a ‘sketchy idea’ the Nerazzurri have for now.
The reason for this possibility should be Inter Milan’s reluctance to lose Dumfries in January. They want the player available until May, and perhaps Tottenham could help them with that.
