Little by little, the Italian media is including Tottenham Hotspur in the battle for Denzel Dumfries.
Back on Friday, as newspaper Tuttosport wrote about the fullback’s situation at Inter Milan, they pointed out that Chelsea must ‘watch out’ for the competition from Spurs.
It turns out that Tottenham’s interest is today highlighted by Corriere Dello Sport, who feature a story about Dumfries’ price ‘skyrocketing’ after the World Cup.
Then when speaking of the potential destinations Dumfries has, Chelsea are first named, and Tottenham come right after, with the newspaper saying ‘maybe, who knows’ the North London side could go after him. It’s said Spurs could ‘repeat’ the deal for Destiny Udogie, who they bought from Udinese last summer and let him stay there on loan until the end of the season.
The reason for this possibility should be Inter Milan’s reluctance to lose Dumfries in January. They want the player available until May, and perhaps Tottenham could help them with that.
