Tottenham Hotspur are finally getting back to a winning streak in the Premier League. After failing to win in four consecutive games, the London side have first managed to get three points against Stoke City, and now against Brighton last night.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has given a pleasant interview to ESPN Brasil after the game, showing how happy he is to put the team back on track once again. Speaking in Spanish, the boss seemed more comfortable to share his feelings after the game.

“Yeah, a lot of cold and rain in London,” Pochettino told ESPN Brasil. “Luckily it didn’t snow like last Sunday and Monday.”

“But yeah, an important third win in a row at Wembley, one in the Champions League and two in the Premier League. Once again, we’re positioned in the high end of the table, which is always important. It’s a big motivation and I think the team deserved to win the three points.”

Asked about the next Premier League game against Manchester City, the Tottenham boss made sure to say that his team will try to play their game, despite the difficult challenge away from home.

“It’s clear that Manchester City are being, I believe, in these six months, one of the best teams in Europe, not only in the Premier League. They are doing a fantastic job. It’s fair to acknowledge the trajectory they’ve been having since the start of the season.

“Of course it’s always a challenge and we’ll try to play our game, knowing it will be a very hard match. We always try to do our way and try to win it.”

Spurs will be facing Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Currently 18 points behind City, the game should be crucial to tell if the London club still have a chance to fight for the league title or not.
