Manchester United and Real Madrid are in the picture to sign Dinamo Zagreb star Martin Baturina.

That’s at least what Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger is reporting, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide a short update.

He claims the 21-year-old has ended up on the radar of several top clubs, including Manchester United.

The attacking midfielder was the subject of offers from Atlético Madrid, Fiorentina, AS Roma and others in the summer window. He rejected all of them in order to continue with the Croatian club.

Baturina’s deal lasts until 2028, but the journalist says he could ‘take the next step’ and leave Dinamo Zagreb at the end of this season.

Manchester United and Real Madrid are among the interested parties. According to Berger, the two clubs have ‘positioned themselves’ to sign the Croatia international.

Los Blancos star Luka Modrić has already urged the Champions League winners to sign his compatriot. This may be a concern for the Red Devils in their battle with Real Madrid to sign the player.

Baturina managed eight goals and nine assists from 51 games last season, and has five assists from eight games this season.
