Marseille, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are all showing interest in Newcastle United’s Lloyd Kelly, according to L’Equipe.

The centre-back joined the Magpies on a free transfer last summer and struggled to play regularly in the Premier League. To put it in context, he clocked in 299 minutes from nine games, and it includes only four starts.

Kelly played only for a minute in Newcastle’s last 11 league games and doesn’t seem to be happy with his situation.

The defender could leave Eddie Howe’s side on a loan deal before the winter window closes on Monday.

L’Equipe say ‘the market is ready to catch fire’ as we get closer to deadline day. With regards to Kelly, he isn’t short of options as the report states Marseille, BVB and Juventus are set to compete for his signature.

Over the past week or so, several claims from Italy have said Juventus are the 26-year-old’s main interested party.

Earlier today, Corriere dello Sport reported the Serie A side are walking away from Kelly. This should certainly come as encouragement for Dortmund and Marseille, but also be a sign Newcastle United only want a deal on their terms.
