Calciomercato report Inter Milan have been going through a process of sacrificing their fullbacks in order to find money to keep other players in the team.

That happened with Achraf Hakimi’s move to PSG last year, and was followed this summer with Ivan Perisic being allowed to leave as a free agent, with Inter refusing to meet his salary demands.

Denzel Dumfries could be the next one, according to the report, and Manchester United are interested. The 26-year-old right back arrived from PSV last summer and made 44 appearances in his first season, scoring five goals and adding seven assists.

There’s interest from the Premier League, with Manchester United said to be ‘particularly’ keen, and Bayern Munich are also thrown into the picture.

Inter would be looking for something around €40m, which would see them more than double their money on what they paid PSV. Calciomercato say Dumfries is ‘on the market’.

Manchester United would surely first have to show the door to one or both of Diogo Dalot or Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and that could be easier said than done for Erik ten Hag’s side.
