Nottingham Forest’s Arnaud Kalimuendo has been linked with a move back to France after struggling in England. He left Stade Rennais for the Reds and has played 82 minutes from eight league matches.

Last month, claims from France said he isn’t keen on returning to Ligue 1 in the winter market. On Christmas Eve, Jeunes Footeux reported West Ham’s interest, but Nottingham Forest are reluctant to let him join them.

Eintracht Frankfurt have emerged as an option in Germany. Two days ago, Bild reported they are optimistic of securing his services in January.

Sky Deutschland report they have identified SV Elversberg’s Younes Ebnoutalib to improve their attack.

He won’t be the only attacker as the Bundesliga side are keen on the Nottingham Forest player. Sky state they are ‘still working’ on the 23-year-old’s potential signing.

A fresh report from Bild states the German club are working on signing Kalimuendo, who is ‘in high demand’.

The Frenchman is said to be open to a move in January and ‘talks are progressing rapidly’ with his entourage.

Bild report Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche will hold more talks with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis. The discussions are to sign Kalimuendo on loan with an option to buy.

There should be more updates once Krösche contacts Marinakis, and likely finds out the cost is higher than he hoped.
