As Fulham continue to work on the signing of Flamengo striker Rodrigo Muniz, we now get to see a quite interesting piece from Brazilian outlet O Dia.
Journalist Venê Casagrande, who’s been covering the whole saga, has spoken to Marco Silva about the potential transfer.
Even though the coach isn’t quoted directly, it’s said he’s been in touch with the newspaper ‘through a chat app’.
Silva reportedly claimed he’s been talking to Rodrigo Muniz, as he has the player ‘on his radar’ and ‘knows him well’. It’s said the signing was a personal request from him to Fulham CEO Alistair Mackintosh.
It’s once again claimed that the manager has planned the same project for the 20-year-that he had for Richarlison, who was signed by him at Watford and then followed at Everton.
Muniz is now set to start his medicals in Brazil and finish them in London. Then he’ll sign a five-year deal with Fulham. O Dia claims that due to a request from the Championship side, the striker isn’t even training with Flamengo any longer, as they were afraid of potential injuries.
The Whites are spending €8m on the transfer, and Flamengo will have 25% of a future move.
