Spanish newspaper Marca have followed up claims from England that Birmingham City want Leandro Cabrera.

Marca explain that it’s common knowledge in Spain that if a deal can be built that’s good for all involved, Cabrera will be allowed to leave Real Zaragoza this summer.

The Spanish club’s manager Luis Milla would prefer if Cabrera stayed where he is, but the final say is unlikely to be his.

The Uruguayan has already been the subject of several proposals this summer, say Marca, but clearly none of those have so far been tempting enough.

Cabrera would prefer a stay in Spain, but a move to England isn’t completely ruled out.

Presumably, Cabrera has a Spanish passport, otherwise it would be difficult for Birmingham City to get a work permit.
