With Moises Caicedo having such a great season for Brighton & Hove Albion, it’s impossible to ignore that he could be set for a big move this summer.
That’s why his agent is often asked about that, and it was no different in an exclusive interview he’s given to CalcioMercato.it.
Manuel Sierra was asked about Piero Hincapie and Moises Caicedo. Regarding the Brighton player, he claimed it should all be peacefully sorted with the Premier League side.
“Caicedo is having a great season, like Brighton. There are many interested clubs and many polls,” said Sierra.
The agent even talked about Caicedo trying to leave the club in January, claiming he’s thankful that Roberto De Zerbi handled that issue very well.
“Moises gets on well with De Zerbi, I thanked him for how he managed Moises after everything that happened in January. Let’s see what happens in the summer, offers will surely arrive and there will be possibilities, but we will talk to Brighton if there’s something worth negotiating about.
“We’ll see what happens, the summer is very long. We talk a lot, but the difference between what we talk about and what we do is huge.”
Despite often talking about Caicedo’s future, Calcio Mercato didn’t mention any potential destinations for the midfielder this time.
The midfielder cost Brighton just €5m when signed from Ecuadorian side Independiente Del Valle back in 2021. Now in the most recent valuation made by Transfermarkt, he’s said to be worth €55m.
The Seagulls know they have a gem in their hands and have him protected with a contract until 2027, with an option for a further year, so will certainly handle this business very calmly in the summer.
