With Juventus reportedly interested in taking Timothy Castagne from Leicester City this summer, the Italian media continues to share some updates on that pursuit.
The freshest information comes from journalist Antonio Barilla, who today spoke to TV Play, in quotes brought by Tutto Juve.
There, he pointed out that even though Juventus are interested in the Leicester City player, he’s not such a priority at this time.
“He’s the second target on the wing, there have been many contacts with Leicester and Juventus have the feeling that given Leicester’s relegation and the boy’s desire they can close,” said Antonio Barilla.
“He was singled out because he is cheap, he already knows Serie A and has no pretensions to a starting position”.
Juventus’ chase for Castagne had gone quiet in the past few days, despite the reports from the start of the month claiming the Old Lady actually had advanced talks to sign him.
Claims from Italy had said that Leicester City’s request for his sale would be of €15m, despite Transfermarkt having him valued at €25m.
Now, as said by Barilla, it should be no surprise to see Juventus taking advantage of the Foxes’ relegation to try to get a discount for this signing.
