On September 30th, Mundo Deportivo reported Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot is ‘torn between a new proposal and interest from five clubs’.

It was also detailed that Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Juventus, AS Roma and AC Milan are monitoring the right-back.

The Portugal international has less than a year left on his current deal and Manchester United have an option to extend it by 12 months.

Barcelona’s interest in the 23-year-old is highlighted by a ‘confidential’ report in today’s Sport.

Sergi Roberto and Héctor Bellerín are the two right-backs at the Camp Nou and both have their deals expiring in 2023. Sergiño Dest is out on loan at Milan and the La Liga side are looking for ways to permanently get rid of him.

This has forced the Blaugrana to look a new player in the same position. There are several names on the table at Barcelona and the Manchester United defender is among them.

It’s claimed the Red Devils could unilaterally extend Dalot’s contract and if they take this step, then it will ‘complicate things a lot’ for Barcelona to sign Erik ten Hag’s man.

Faced with this situation, Sport state the Catalan club are following Torino’s Wilfried Singo. The Ivorian, like Dalot, has a contract expiring in 2023 and the Serie A side have an option to extend it by a year.
