On Wednesday we covered claims from Italy that Lazio were showing an interest in Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

The 21 year old was loaned to Fulham for the whole season, but he’s not been getting games recently and a move elsewhere would make some sense in terms of trying to get more miunutes.

Much more prominent under previous manager Slaviša Jokanović, the Dutchman hasn’t been in the core plans of Claudio Ranieri, hence the rumours Manchester United could find their player somewhere else to play for the rest of the season.

Sport Witness were informed on Wednesday that, as things stood at that time, a move was unlikely.

Things can change, and Fosu-Mensah still has time to switch, but TMW say it won’t be to Lazio. The Italian website report the youngster has knocked back the chance of joining the Serie A club this week.

It’s claimed a proposal was made, and rejected by the player. Unless he has something else lined up, or any assurance of more games at Fulham, it doesn’t make a great deal of sense.
