Juventus are considering making a move for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial in January, and United are ‘willing to sell’ if they do.
That’s according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, who say the Frenchman is one of three options that the Italian side are currently looking at for next month.
The newspaper explains that Juventus are playing a ‘three-card game’ when it comes to their efforts to find a new striker in the winter window.
Manchester United’s Martial is one of the cards, while Arsenal’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca are the others.
At this moment in time, the latter is the favourite as he was a player the club liked in the summer when they needed to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ultimately they went with Moise Kean, but the interest has remained nonetheless, and they are now going to pursue a deal again next month.
That could prove tricky, though, given Sassuolo are unlikely to want to lose their prized asset, and so the club have other options.
One of them is the Manchester United man, and Ralf Rangnick’s side are willing to facilitate a deal, with it stated they are ‘willing to sell’. A loan deal is also on the table.
The problem for Juventus is that Martial doesn’t quite fit what they’re looking for and seems more inclined to join Sevilla than them at this moment in time.
That is why they are pushing for Scamacca instead but if that deal falls, Martial does remain a name on the list of options they’re looking at.
