After passing a medical on Tuesday ahead of a possible move to Manchester United, it appears Altay Bayindir will soon be the latest arrival at Old Trafford,
The news comes from journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who provided an update for Sports Digital in Turkey on the current situation.
It was said on Tuesday that Manchester United had made a bid of €7m + bonuses for the player, and that is somewhat backed up on Wednesday.
Yağız Sabuncuoğlu explains that the Red Devils ‘will pay the release clause’ to get the player from Fenerbahçe, with €5-6m landing in the Turkish club’s coffers.
After that, bonuses mean the fee can ‘go up to €7m’.
There is no doubt that André Onana will be the number one goalkeeper at Manchester United this season under Erik ten Hag, but with Dean Henderson wanting to play first-team football and not interested in being a back up for the Cameroon international, his exit will happen at some point.
That’s why Manchester United have gone after Bayindir, who appears more than happy to provide competition for the former Inter Milan star.
Yağız Sabuncuoğlu: Man Utd Altay Bayındır için çıkış maddesini ödeyecek. Fenerbahçe'nin kasasına 5-6 milyon euro civarı girecek. Bonuslara 7 milyon euroya doğru çıkabilir.
