Last week, a report from France suggested that Manchester United could end up trying to buy Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich.
The Dutch midfielder hasn’t had the game time he wanted this season since signing from Ajax, and that has led to questions about his short and long-term future there.
This immediately brought Manchester United into the fray, since Erik ten Hag was the manager that gave him his debut at the Eredivisie side and was said to know him off by heart, and Foot Mercato push that idea again on Monday.
This comes via their journalist Santi Aouna, who took to Twitter to reveal that Gravenberch and his entourage ‘will take a decision on their future soon’.
The bottom line is that the midfielder wants to play more, ‘whether it be at Bayern or somewhere else’, before adding that Manchester United will be one of the teams that will ‘meet’ those around him.
And, for good measure, he finishes off by reminding everyone that Ten Hag is a ‘fan’ of the player, which makes sense considering the success they enjoyed together at Ajax.
There will be more to come on this, rest assured, and we’ll let you know when it arrives.
