Manchester United continue to watch Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot ‘very closely’ and are more interested than the rest in him.
That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who say the Red Devils continue to monitor the Frenchman after turning down the chance to sign him in the summer.
Rabiot is enjoying something of a renaissance after renewing his contract with Juventus in the summer, after it had appeared he would be leaving the Italian side on a free transfer.
Manchester United were one of those looking into a deal for him is he had become a free agent but reportedly turned down the move after learning of his wage demands.
Rabiot instead renewed at Juventus – but only until June 2024 – and has re-established himself as a key player under Max Allegri, starring in their strong start to season.
That’s not gone unnoticed and Rabiot remains ‘attractive’ to several clubs, ‘above all’ Manchester United… according to CM.it.
They continue to follow the midfielder ‘very closely’ after the summer and years of being linked with a potential move for him.
Unfortunately for them Juventus are now not in the mood to negotiate a transfer and are, in fact, working hard to get Rabiot signed to a new deal to further strengthen their hand.
They’re determined to keep hold of him and have made that clear, aware that the likes of Manchester United still linger in the background.
