Manchester United are set to make a strong push for the signing of Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina, according to reports from Italy.
TGR journalist Sara Meini writes on Twitter that these are ‘decisive days’ for the 26-year-old’s future.
It’s claimed that even though he’s set to join their squad on Monday, Manchester United are actually planning an attempt before that.
Meini writes that the Reds Devils will ‘try to close’ an agreement for the midfielder ‘by this weekend’.
The story doesn’t have any information on how much Manchester United are set to put on the table for the deal, or how far they currently stand from Fiorentina’s demands.
On Wednesday morning, reports from the Italian press had claimed that La Viola request at least €30m to let Amrabat move this summer.
With Manchester United still to reach that amount, it had been claimed that time ‘will be needed’ for them to sort a deal, since they were still looking to offload some of their midfielders in the transfer window.
Now with this sudden change of stance, perhaps the Red Devils changed their mind, or have a sale about to be done.
