Manchester United have been working on a deal for Noussair Mazraoui for a couple of weeks and it now looks like they’re going to go through with the transfer.
Bayern Munich have been keen to sell and have been under some pressure to do deals at reasonable prices. That’s presented opportunities for other clubs and it looks like Erik ten Hag’s side may take advantage.
The manager worked with the defender at Ajax, so it will give him the chance to rebuild another little part of the team he had in Amsterdam.
Santi Aouna reports the Premier League club ‘have informed’ the Bayern Munich player that the transfer will be finalised.
Mazraoui now awaits the green light from Bayern Munich, presumably so he can then travel for a Manchester United medical and complete a move.
In turn, that transfer would allow fellow right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to move to West Ham and it’s claimed he’s given his approval to that switch.
It’s worth pointing out that Bayern Munich travelled to South Korea on Wednesday afternoon and Mazraoui went with them. Therefore it’s unlikely they thought a transfer was imminent at that point.
