Player ‘will go to England’ in summer – Manchester United hovering for signing, transfer seen as likely

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen a resurgence in the rumours sending Nikola Milenković to England, and more precisely to Manchester United.

While Manchester City and Liverpool have also been involved in this new saga, it’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, who are in need of centre-back quality and depth going forward, who have been a constant.

With a contract running out in 2022, this summer will be Fiorentina’s last chance to cash in on the Serbian, and they are well aware of it.

With no contract renewal on the way, the Italians are bracing themselves for a departure, which Corriere Fiorentino make clear on Monday.

When looking at the future of some of the club’s stars, such as Dusan Vlahovic, they add there is ‘nothing to be done’ when it comes to Milenković, as the player ‘will go to England’.

As for the fee, much like the mentions of Manchester United, the figures have been pretty constant.

For Corriere Fiorentino, ‘La Viola hope to collect between €30-35m’, which they see as ‘good money to relaunch the assault’ to sign Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira.
