In all these months when Manchester United have been linked to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, it’s repeatedly been said that the Italian club would demand at least €100m to let the player go.
That may be a good reason why the Red Devils haven’t been able to sign the 24-year-old yet. And it turns out this situation could be about to get more difficult.
Osimhen has 17 goals and four assists in 21 appearances this season. That means he’s the Serie A top scorer, and crucial for Napoli to be on top of the table.
So as the rumours about Manchester United’s interest in the player continue, the Italian media has been going crazy about the price that could be requested for the striker’s transfer.
Claims from journalist Bruno Gentili were made today on Radio Kiss Kiss (via Calcio Napoli 24), where he said he hopes the Red Devils will never be able to sign Osimhen from Napoli.
“Watch out for Manchester United for Victor, may the assault never come: for me the Nigerian is worth €200m.”
If that price sounds exaggerated, that’s because you haven’t seen what Paolo de Paola said on Radio Punto Novo (via Tutto Napoli), saying Osimhen is actually worth more than that.
“Osimhen is worth at least €300m! I don’t see any huge differences between him and Mbappé, on the contrary Osimhen places himself more at the disposal of the team and his teammates.”
