Italian newspaper La Repubblica today brings the latest news on Manchester United’s chase for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
The outlet, relayed by Fiorentina.it, writes that even though the player has been ‘packing his bags for weeks’, he still waits for the clubs to sort his transfer.
It’s claimed that Amrabat found a deal with Manchester United a while ago, and the problem is that the bid hasn’t arrived to Fiorentina yet.
Manchester United have been ‘hovering the ground’ for a €25m offer, and even though that wasn’t done, it’s ‘very likely’ it will.
The newspaper writes that this saga could drag until the ‘last days of the market’.
Manchester United’s pursuit of Amrabat has been a strong story for a while now, with the Red Devils knowing he won’t be an expensive signing and only waiting to make their move.
It pretty much sounds like Erik ten Hag’s side are waiting to see the possible departures from their midfield before actually trying to bring the Fiorentina player to the squad.
That’s why it may still take a few weeks until they place a bid.
