Already followed by a couple of big Premier League teams, it appears that Axel Disasi is going to be a very wanted man this summer.

The AS Monaco centre-back has impressed a lot this season at both ends of the pitch, with clubs such as West Ham United and Manchester United taking note.

That’s according to journalist Ignazio Genuardi, who took to Twitter to reveal the interest from both sides on Tuesday.

He says the towering defender is ‘followed very closely’ by West Ham, who are said to have travelled to watch him ‘several times’ over the past few months.

However, in a blow to the Hammers, Disasi has the ambitions of going to a bigger team in the summer, likely because of where David Moyes’ side are in the table at this moment in time.

Genuardi then adds that Manchester United seem ‘strongly interested’ in the 25-year-old’s profile, who boasts six goals and four assists in 42 appearances this season.

This makes sense taking into account the defensive issues the Red Devils have faced of late, with Harry Maguire continuously at the heart of turmoil, alongside with a seemingly lack of strength in depth at the role.

Signing someone like Disasi could go a long way for Manchester United, while West Ham should probably look elsewhere unless they can come up with some great manner of convincing him.
