With Kim Min-jae seemingly heading to Bavaria instead of the north of England, Manchester United are being linked with Axel Disasi.
The AS Monaco defender looks to be on his way out of the principality this summer, and the Ligue 1 side are actually waiting for him to be sold.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who state Manchester United ‘still lead the pack’ for the centre-back’s signing, as his market keeps growing.
The French newspaper explain ‘other big European teams’ are ‘trying to convince’ the defender to move to their club instead, although it seems he has his mind set on a move to Old Trafford for now.
Monaco, down their end, are waiting for the ‘anticipated transfers’ of both Disasi and Youssouf Fofana, with around €70-80m needed to come in from both deals to ‘alleviate the finances of the club’.
Manchester United, down their end, appear to be trying to sign a goalkeeper first before moving onto other targets, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they waited for July 1st to try and convince Kim Min-jae one last time before moving concretely for Disasi should they fail in that endeavour.
