Sunday’s edition of Sport has an article on Wolves interest in Ansu Fati, and states an offer has arrived from the club. That offer is said to be worth €30m cash added to the transfer of Ruben Neves from Wolves to Barcelona.

The same article explains that Jorge Mendes, Ansu Fati’s agent, had wanted his client to move to one of the world’s biggest clubs, such as Manchester United, but hasn’t been able to get them to take his bait.

Therefore, a transfer to Wolves would give Ansu Fati a chance to shine in the Premier League with a view to joining a bigger club in a couple of years.

Over at Mundo Deportivo they have it differently. They talk down the prospect of a sale and don’t mention Wolves at all.

It’s stated Manchester United, Tottenham, Bayern Munich and PSG are all keen on the Barcelona player, but he doesn’t want to leave the Camp Nou right now.

On top of that, it’s claimed Manchester United once offered €150m for Ansu Fati, an offer made up of a fixed fee and bonuses, which was rejected by Barcelona.

That’s obviously hard to believe, as it was at the time, and throws everything else into doubt. Given Jorge Mendes is at the centre of all of this, it should be no surprise transfer games are being played.
