Manchester United and a few other clubs have been credited with an interest in Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga since the start of this year.

Back in February, claims from Spain stated the Red Devils are ‘on the lookout’ for the 21-year-old.

Fast forward to May and today’s AS mention Manchester United as one of the midfielder’s suitors.

Operating in the middle of the pitch and as an attacking midfielder, he’s managed nine goals and four assists from 39 games this season. His form, profile and potential has caught the attention of clubs across Europe.

Although Real Madrid are getting closer to signing Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, they don’t lose sight of the Spain U21 international, who has ‘exploded’ at Celta. He has a €40m release clause and is ‘open to all options’, including Manchester United.

It’s claimed ‘only one thing is certain’, which is that the player ‘will not continue’ at the La Liga side. Celta have already given up on having him next season.

From the Premier League, Veiga has ‘received interest’ from Erik ten Hag’s side, Chelsea and Manchester City.

The trio have joined Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona in the chase. He hasn’t closed doors on any of these clubs as of now.

Time will tell which club will be successful in securing Veiga’s services for €40m in the summer.
