Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is ‘playing for time’ as he tries to seal a return to Juventus this summer.

The Frenchman is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer and seems destined to leave the club on a free transfer when that happens.

His future has been the subject of intense speculation for months, with the likes of Real Madrid, PSG and Juventus all considered possible destinations.

At the moment, a return to his former club seems the most likely option at this moment in time, and according to journalist Rudy Galetti, that is exactly what Pogba wants.

He says PSG have ‘made a proposal’ to the Manchester United midfielder, but the Frenchman is ‘playing for time’.

That’s because he ‘wants’ a return to Juventus, where he spent the best part of his career between 2012 and 2016 before his return to Manchester United.

The Bianconeri are ‘talking’ with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola and are trying to ‘define an agreement’ with both the Italian and the midfielder, and a ‘new meeting’ is expected ‘soon’ to try and push things along.

It’s likely that negotiations are slow given Juventus’ financial issues and the money that Pogba is currently picking up in Manchester and likely demanding to rejoin given he’s available on a free.

It suggests the transfer won’t be done with any time soon, and the furore around Pogba isn’t going to die down either; something we’re sure Manchester United fans will be delighted with.
