Manchester United have been linked with a move for Kalidou Koulibaly since José Mourinho’s final transfer window at Old Trafford in 2018.

Rumours of Red Devils interest in the Napoli star continue to emerge and Le10 Sport has an update on the case.

It’s claimed both Gennaro Gattuso’s side and the Senegal international have received two proposals, including one from the Premier League side.

United have ‘shifted into high gear’ after contacting people close to the centre-back [his entourage] in April.

Apart from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, Liverpool are also interested in the 28-year-old and the report states the two clubs are expected to fight it out behind the scenes for him.

With a contract until 2023, the Serie A side are hoping to receive a fee of around €100m for the defender.

Area Napoli also has an update on the former Genk man and they claim he ‘could be sold’ in the summer and Premier League clubs would be willing to make a ‘crazy offer’ for him.

With regards to the details of the clubs, they state Koulibaly is in the sights of Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle United.
