On December 1st, we covered comments from Moisés Caicedo about his future, and the dreams he has in his football career.
The 19-year-old currently plays for Independiente del Valle in Ecuador, and has seen his star rise in recent months.
A defensive midfielder, he styles his game on stars in the Premier League, and when asked about his future he said: “My challenge is one day to be in the elite of world football. I have proposed this to myself, my dream is to play in the big leagues.”
Well, it would appear fortune has worked in the youngster’s favour, if new claims coming from Ecuador are to be believed. Marco Lopez Castillo tweeted over the weekend that there’s interest from RB Leipzig, AC Milan, Ajax, Alaves and West Ham, yet another club is out ahead in the transfer race.
You’ve guessed it, that club is Manchester United.
Despite the others being keen, it’s only the Old Trafford side who are set to have a meeting with those who are currently looking after Caicedo’s interests.
Any move would be relatively cheap, but the big problem for Manchester United would be securing a work permit.
