Manchester United ‘would be willing’ to go as high as €30m to sign Sergio Reguilón from Real Madrid this summer.

United have been heavily linked with the Spanish full-back over the last few weeks, with numerous reports in Spain linking them with a move.

The last we heard was that they ‘haven’t given’ up on the left-back, who impressed while on loan with Sevilla last season.

AS cover the situation today and explain that the youngster has a ‘dilemma’ on his hands as he tries to decide his future before the end of the transfer window.

They explain that he is weighing up an ‘attractive offer’ from Manchester United, who have offered him a four-year deal and are willing to pay €30m.

The offer is tempting for the 23-year-old as he would get Champions League football, play for ‘one of the greats of Europe’ and play in ‘a temple of football’ like Old Trafford.

Those are ‘not insignificant’, but a move to Manchester United would ‘block his dream’ of playing for Real Madrid, the ‘club of his life and football dreams’.

For that reason, the idea of staying at Sevilla for a second season is ‘growing in his head’ as he has almost everything in his favour at the club.

The manager, Julen Lopetegui, ‘trusts him blindly’, the project there is ambitious, and they can also offer Champions League football. He is also loved by the fans and valued in the dressing room, two more positives.

Thus Monchi and Lopetegui are pushing to renew his loan deal without a purchase option, which Reguilón knows would give him a chance of returning to Madrid next year to prove his worth.

Madrid, for their part, do not want to lose ‘sovereignty’ over the player, who they rate highly but is not part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans at this moment in time.

Reguilón is, therefore, ‘debating’ between Manchester United and Sevilla. The former would mean giving up on the Bernabeu dream while the latter would keep it alive, a big decision that he needs to calmly weigh up before deciding on.
