Always making sure they know all the big talents in Portugal, Manchester United sent an official for more transfer planning at the weekend.
That’s today reported by newspaper O Jogo, who say the Red Devils had an emissary at the match between Porto and Boavista.
The outlet writes that Manchester United are already an ‘habitual presence’ at the Estádio do Dragão, and were there once again to see the home side win 1-0.
There’s just no information on who the Red Devils were specifically watching, although a few players stood out and may have drawn attention.
Manchester United have many times been linked to Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa this season, and it turns out he put in a good exhibition on Sunday. He was praised by O Jogo for being ‘decisive’ at the end of the game, with newspaper Record also highlighting a ‘tremendous’ save that guaranteed the Dragons’ win.
If the Red Devils are actually going for an alternative for David De Gea this summer, Costa is starting to sound like an obvious answer, especially because he’s been scouted so many times this season.
Now in case Manchester United were looking for other talents at Porto, fullback Pepê and striker Mehdi Taremi both impressed as well.
