Manchester United have scouting Antwerp youngster Mandela Keita ‘several times’ in recent months as interest in him continues to increase.
That’s according to Het Nieuwsblad, who say Manchester United are on an ever-growing list of suitors for the 21-year-old midfielder.
The newspaper explains that Keita has again been particularly important for the Belgian side this season after first arriving on loan in January last year and extending that in the summer.
His performances have not gone unnoticed by foreign clubs, and he is ‘especially popular’ in England, where the likes of West Ham and Nottingham Forest as well as Championship teams inquired about him to his agent Ediz Unal in January.
Manchester United ca now be added to the list of potential suitors, with Het Nieuwsblad reporting that they have scouted the Antwerp player ‘several times this year’ and even obtained information from his agent about him.
None of the clubs, including Manchester United, have done anything concrete yet as it’s still only March but there is a belief some will certainly move ahead of the summer.
Whether Manchester United are one of them remains to be seen but they’ve certainly got reports in the system on Keita and have even been in contact with his agent.
