Manchester United turned down the chance to sign Isco from Real Madrid this summer as part of a potential deal taking Paul Pogba to Real Madrid.
Pogba was linked with a move to the Bernabeu all summer, with him and Madrid both pushing to get a deal over the line.
Manchester United resisted throughout, though, making it clear they had no intention to sell the Frenchman at any point.
That did not stop Madrid trying multiple methods to try and get their man, and El Desmarque claim that one of those involved Isco.
According to the website, Madrid offered more money plus Isco for Pogba, but Manchester United flatly refused that deal.
They ‘did not want to know anything’ about Isco because they consider him a player who is on a downward trajectory.
It’s explained that rumours about Isco’s professionalism have spread and are, seemingly, something that United have picked up on also.
Florentino Pérez is now instead left looking for an acceptable formula for Pogba, with United refusing to reduce ‘even one euro’ from their €180m asking price.
