Manchester United are ‘ready with a cheque’ to sign Gleison Bremer from Juventus this summer and the Turin club’s green light ‘will certainly come’ forward on one condition.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who insist Manchester United are ready to move for the Brazilian to bolster their defence.
They explain that Juventus director of football Cristiano Giuntoli is preparing many changes at the club this summer, including in their defence, where several departures are expected.
Bremer will be the big sacrifice to raise funds and Manchester United are ‘ready with a cheque’ for the player, although whether it will be written at a value to convince Juventus remains to be seen.
They need €65-70m and if they receive it the green light for the transfer ‘will certainly come’ from Giuntoli and his team.
That’s a number we’ve heard continuously over recent weeks, with several reports making it clear Juventus would accept such a figure this summer as it’s the same value of the player’s release clause, which comes into effect next summer.
Whether Manchester United are happy to pay it is up for debate but given their defensive problems this season perhaps they’d see it as something of a bargain.
Either way, the terms have been set and it’s up to them to match them, with Juventus seemingly more than happy to do a deal.
