Manchester United have RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomandé on their agenda for the summer.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, and he covers Manchester United’s interest in his column for Sky Sport CH.
The winger joined the Bundesliga side from Leganés in July 2025 and has enjoyed a good run so far. He scored eight goals and contributed six assists from 22 matches, and it didn’t go unnoticed.
Two months ago, Sport Witness relayed German claims of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea interest.
Tavolieri now picks up on that and reports Arne Slot’s side are insisting the most to sign him.
At the same time, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have all held ‘private meetings’ with Maxidel Management. That’s the agency who negotiated his transfer from the Spanish club to Leipzig.
Manchester United may want to swerve this one

Sky Sport CH mentions the Red Devils and other top clubs in a report covering the dispute between Maxidel Management and Roc Nation Sports.
Tavolieri has obtained the document that shows the Ivory Coast international’s private agreement with Maxidel Management. This allows them to negotiate his exit from the German club even though Diomandé has reportedly joined Roc Nation Sports.
Maxidel Management also hold the player’s image rights until 2031. The agency and the player could receive compensation of €7m and €5m respectively in case it’s violated.
Tavolieri claims none of the interested parties, including Manchester United, would risk signing him under these conditions.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a document. It says Diomandé is only represented by Maxidel Management. The player clarifies not granting Roc Nation Sports permission to take care of his interest.
This could make it easier for his suitors to negotiate for the summer. However, his image rights issue still needs sorting.
It’s worth noting different camps have started hyping Diomandé, using the likes of the Red Devils and others. Manchester United may have a genuine interest, but taking the drama around him into account, it may not be worth pursuing the move.
🇨🇮 Selon des documents exclusifs fournis par des sources, Yan Diomande avait pourtant refusé toute approche de l’agence de Jay-Z, Roc Nation Sports, par le biais d’une lettre recommandée, confirmée par mail.
