The Brazilian media is now getting quite confident that Flamengo will soon sign Andreas Pereira from Manchester United on a permanent deal.

One of the updates today comes from UOL journalist Mauro Cezar Pereira, who says the Rio de Janeiro club expect to close the signing before the end of Tuesday.

It’s said Flamengo have officials in England speaking to Manchester United about the ‘final details’ of the deal, which should be done for around €10.5m, with the Red Devils keeping 25% of a future transfer.

Other details such as the payment instalments are being discussed as well, but the agreement is said to be ‘close’.

Meanwhile, Goal Brasil features a similar report. They claim Flamengo expect to get the deal done ‘at the start of this week’.

Following a first bid of €8m, it’s said the agreement should be made for around €10m, with Manchester United having 70% of a future sale. So even though the reports disagree about a few numbers, we can get a picture of what’s being discussed between the clubs.

Andreas Pereira is said to be eager to stay at Flamengo, so he can now ‘create history’ at a club instead of going out on repeat loans.

The Rio de Janeiro side are offering him a five-year contract.
