Manchester United’s recent defeat to Liverpool is certainly something so remarkable that their win over Barcelona in the Europa League feels like something very distant now.

However, the victory against the Catalan giants is still being recalled in the Argentine media, where they had been speaking about Alejandro Garnacho.

The Manchester United youngster was a subject in D Sports Radio today, where former Boca Juniors and River Plate player Carlos Morete had some heavy words about the winger.

Following the win over Barcelona, Garnacho had claimed that the ‘big team’ had gone through the round-of-16, and only now he’s getting some backlash from his home country’s media.

“Garnacho is rude, not very humble. When Barcelona was eliminated he was a pancho and he said that the big team won. He was playing against Barça, not against Getafe,” said Morete (via AS).

“I hope the kid gets off his horse, shuts up, doesn’t talk nonsense and learns.”

Followig a good season with Manchester United, Garnacho is now called up to make his debut for Argentina in their next friendlies.

At the age of 18, the winger has four goals and five assists in 30 appearances for the club, and little by little, has been able to show some real impact in Erik ten Hag’s side.

But his attitude hasn’t been well received by those in Argentina.
