Manchester United supporters and players spent much of Sunday evening being mocked by Liverpool fans and supporters of other Premier League clubs.
Whilst that was completely natural after they were smashed 7-0 at Anfield, what was rather stranger was the reaction coming from Catalonia.
Alejandro Garnacho only came on as a second half substitute and certainly wasn’t one of the players most at fault for the defeat to Liverpool.
However, over in Catalonia they’re still stinging from Manchester United knocking Barcelona out of the Europa League, and Garnacho’s reaction after that victory. The youngster did a celebration similar to Pedri’s and sent a message on social media saying the big team went through.
Catalans do a special line in pettiness.
Anyway, Mundo Deportivo have compiled a list of memes and attacks against him since the defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s side. What is odd is that these attacks aren’t just from fans but also from recognised media personalities, all against an 18-year-old.
Mundo Deportivo say Garnacho ‘pays dearly for his arrogance’ and they explain many have taken against him because of his personality.
