AC Milan are interested in signing Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot, according to Sky Italia

The Serie A side are looking to bolster their defence in the final week of the transfer window and the 21-year-old’s is the ‘hottest’ name for the fullback position.

It’s claimed the Rossoneri have already tabled a ‘first offer’, which would be to take Dalot on ‘loan with the right of redemption’.

The Red Devils, however, would prefer the former FC Porto man leaves on a permanent deal.

As per the report, Milan’s leaders will now evaluate whether to make a new proposal for the Portuguese fullback or look at other players.

Dalot, who can operate on either side of the defence, has struggled with injuries and form since arriving at Old Trafford in 2018.

He has been restricted to only seven appearances in all competitions in 2020 and all of them were in the second half of the last season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferred Timothy Fosu-Mensah ahead of Dalot for the right-back position in his side’s league defeat to Crystal Palace on September 19th. This would indicate the Norwegian doesn’t rate Dalot and he may not be included in the manager’s plans at United.
