Last week, Il Messaggero reported on interest from AC Milan and AS Roma in Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee.
The newspaper claimed the two clubs have already made initial contact for the attacker.
Corriere dello Sport now share what they say is the player’s stance on swaping Manchester United for AS Roma.
The Italian newspaper report the 24-year-old has ‘made it clear’ he’s keen on joining Roma.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are offering him a clear starting spot in the side. This appeals to the Dutchman, who has started only once at Manchester United this season.
Zirkzee is also keen on working under Gasperini. The Italian has a reputation of bringing the most out of young strikers using his system. This can prove important to the ex-Bologna man, who wants to prove himself ahead of the World Cup.

The newspaper also reports Roma would want to agree a deal with Manchester United early. The plan is to give Gasperini the best tools available for potential Champions League qualification.
Evan Ferguson has failed to make an impact since his arrival from Brighton. Artem Dovbyk has also struggled to score consistently. There is a belief that Zirkzee suits Gasperini’s system perfectly.
