The media around AC Milan remain absolutely convinced that Diogo Dalot wants to return to the club this summer.
Manchester United loaned the fullback to the Rossoneri last season, and whilst he was mainly used as a squad option he was a useful player for the Serie A side.
Dalot’s ability to play at either left-back or right-back provided Milan with cover for injuries, opportunities to rest others, and squad competition.
They want him back but it’s been repeatedly stated Manchester United aren’t interested in another loan, and would only be willing to listen to offers for a permanent sale. Pianeta Milan cover this, and say Dalot is ‘awaiting answers on his future’, although there’s a suggestion he’ll have to wait a little longer.
Not for the first time it’s stated a return to Milan is something which could happen in the final days of the transfer window, perhaps waiting for Manchester United’s stance to soften. Alternatively, there’s the suggestion of a loan with a ‘repayment obligation’, which presumably means Milan would have to make the move permanent next summer.
