Diogo Dalot is now on the verge of completing his loan move to AC Milan and leaving Manchester United.

The Italian media have been reporting the potential transfer for the past couple of days, and Calciomercato state Dalot has now arrived at Milan’s Linate airport. He touched down at 3.30pm local time after the Serie A side arranged a private jet to go and get him from Manchester.

Dalot is expected to go through his medical examinations on Saturday evening, with the deal then being made official on Sunday.

The fullback’s move comes soon after another Manchester United player sealed a switch to Italian football. Andreas Pereira has joined Lazio, initially on a loan move, and both players will have completed moves to Italy before Chris Smalling, who has been at the centra of an AS Roma saga for months.

Manchester United fans will hope the exits can nudge their club closer to bringing in another signing of their own before Monday’s deadline.
